10. May 2023.
As part of the open public call for cities and municipalities to join the BFC SEE Program, the Technical Secretariats started organizing an Info Day for representatives of local self-governments in order to familiarize themselves with the benefits of the program itself, as well as what they can expect during the entire certification process.
The participants got acquainted with the latest, IV edition of the BFC SEE standard, improvements compared to the previous edition, as well as with the next steps that await those self-governments that decide to participate in the program. So far, info days were organized in Banja Luka, Pristina and Belgrade, attended by more than 40 representatives of local self-governments, and in the coming period, info days are expected to be organized in Podgorica, Skopje, Mostar and Tirana.
Representatives of cities and municipalities that have a certificate according to the previous edition praised the entire program as well as the support they got from all Technical Secretariats and auditors, and also invited other participants to join the most prominent self-governments in the field of economic development.
A public call has been opened for 50 cities and municipalities in the whole western Balkan region to join the BFC SEE program. The program provides clear guidelines to improve services and standardize best practices for local economic development. It also promotes participating cities and municipalities for their good work.
As training for city/municipal coordinators of the BFC SEE Process will be organized in May, we invite all those interested to apply for the certification program as soon as possible via the link: http://bfc-see.org/apply-for-the-bfc-see-program
