BFC SEE Network keeps expanding in the region

On the 1st of August 2022 representatives of Regional Council signed the Agreement on expanding Regional Network for Business-Friendly Environment (BFC SEE Network) with representatives of the Association for Local Autonomy (ALAA) from Tirana and the Institute for Development Research (RIINVEST) from Prishtina.

 

New members, together with other members of Network, will help the Western Balkan region to have better connection and cooperation between local authorities and private sector on the local level, primarily through the implementation of the common BFC SEE standard developed by this Network. ALAA and RIINVEST will perform tasks of the Technical Secretariats that relate to the implementation of the BFC SEE certification process of local self-governments in accordance with this unique international Program. All members of BFC SEE Network will cooperate in initiating and implementing other joint projects and activities aimed at improving the business environment in the region as well.

 

The Regional Network for Business-Friendly Environment and the Regional Council, have been established by the Agreement on establishing Regional council for business-friendly environment concluded on 2013 and it’s expansion in the region was supported by German Development Cooperation implemented by GIZ though Open Regional Fund Modernization of Municipal Services (GIZ ORF MMS).
