Conference on promotion of new business friendly municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Representatives of the BFC SEE network from Bosnia and Herzegovina and members of Regional Council participated in the conference ''Promotion of new business friendly municipalities and cities'', organized by USAID's RAST project in Sarajevo on November 3rd. Apart from representatives of BFC SEE network, the conference was attended by Marc D'Silva, representative of CRS for BiH and Amir Zukić, the Federal minister of development, entrepreneurship and crafts. Panel discussion on Local economic development and establishment of business friendly environment in accordance with the BFC SEE standard was held in the continuation of the conference. The panel was attended by the mayors of certified municipalities who, with the financial support of RAST, successfully implemented the BFC criteria - Doboj, Gradačac, Jablanica, Novi Grad Sarajevo, Posušje and Zenica. "The BFC SEE program should be implemented at the national level in order to make municipalities more efficient and to help our citizens", said mayor of Zenica.
