With the aim of strengthening the structures within the BFC SEE Network, improving the process efficiency and better promotion of the program and certified municipalities, with the support of Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), NALED is implementing the project titled: „Boost Business Friendliness“, with a goal of developing the BFC SEE e-platform, which will act as a mechanism for regular consultations within the Regional Network, starting from 2017 and the application of new edition of BFC SEE standard. Along with additional promotion of the region and certified cities and municipalities, the platform will enable automatization of the entire process, online application and electronic submission of documentation, exchange of best practice examples and easier access and exchange of data among local governments.

On this occasion, over the past month, in cooperation with partners from the region, the Regional Technical Secretariat (RTS) organized a series of one-day trainings for key beneficiaries – representatives of Technical secretariats, evaluators, verifiers and members of Technical committee, who learned about the basic functions and modules of the first regional BFC SEE e-platform.

The training participants agree that the application of BFC SEE e-platform will accelerate the process, make it more efficient, transparent and enable a harmonized approach and better understanding of the program in the region. Through BFC SEE software development, the views and marks provided by verifiers and evaluators will be consolidated and aligned with the defined BFC SEE criteria, while the national institutions will have a better image and insight into the work of certified local governments. On the other hand, the local governments will have clearer guidelines for creating a business friendly environment and a mechanism for more efficient and transparent local administration, while the private sector will receive a standardized tool for accessing information and data about the local business conditions in the region.
